Why is some massage claimable through health funds?

Some health funds elect to provide rebates for Remedial Massage, but only if the Remedial Massage Therapist is registered with them.

To obtain and maintain registration with a Health Fund, the Remedial Massage Therapist must:

• have obtained a specific in-person qualification (not online) through an approved training provider
• be a financial member of an approved members association, with updated details at all times
• have current Public Liability Insurance
• have Senior/Level 2 First Aid
• accrue 40 points (20 hours) of ongoing professional education every year
